BEST PARTY EVER

I was very surprised that we got it all together and boy how much fun we all had... our very last time in Marina Del Rey... for NOW.

This Monday is our last day than we are out to see the big boys... we just faxed all required info to

NEW SPOT FOR THE BABY...

Went to see NewMark yesterday and first and last was given ... so we are ready but first the party for Jessy... on Friday...

The most amazing weekend... no suit needed

Heading out was not as we thought, turning back is better and sleep over at Chase Park might be more enjoyable... Darl was scared and found out later that Paul was not so comfortable either.  The whole weekend was unreal...water really warm.

Everything was just superb... all the "girls" were very happy...

We did run out of water however... first time,  must mention that...

Thank God, she loves the water and we almost were able to snorkel around the rock but she was too cold...

Friends of Big D

From TX...

Big fight by the end of it... with Big D, she cannot help herself that she is in charge and she does know everything.  But I think it is rather that she does not like us ( mainly me) to be on the boat unless she is altered.  She also made a comment by me wanting to have more of her food... was not allowed... I'll never eat or drink anything of hers as long as I live.  Never really experienced behavior such as this and I am thankful for that.  She is teaching me a huge lesson about people! Have to figure out how to get off the BAGARRE once she is moored and her whole group is in place!  I think she will be very happy to have the boat to herself and not me around.  I basically just want to move on to the "afford" kind of a crowd vs. the can not afford kind. Waste of time...

So of course during the night this bloody sailboat having 350' of chain and rope in 30' of water smashed right into us at 2 AM and kept on coming closer and closer, took a bite out of the BAGARRE... was going to stay up on foredeck all night but I got so friggin tired of the bs,  pulled up anchor and picked up mooring on Romeo row.
Steve came by in the morning and told us that we have to leave and gave us mooring at Howland's which was very sweet... Of course Darl. did not like it but the spot is very close to Emerald, maybe a 3 minutes ride with a dinghy.

Darl was doing her usual float and I went diving to this spot but it was not that interesting... also was trying my go pro... dive spot was west of us before Parson's

year later

so here we go again... the 4th... not my favorite because of crowds... no moorings so we anchored upon arrival... looking good. We left on the 3rd, early morning... crossing was good.

almost forgot

"the old men"  as Darl calls them.  When we arrived, Thursday morning, there was only one bird so later they started coming back from wherever ... my buds.

4th and alone

The crossing was like a lake... very different from last time we crossed... still have that little bit of a leak.  The sheriffs came and told me that I needed a permit to clean the bottom of the boat, cause I was checking things while waiting for Darl.  All bullshit!  The asshole cop has something against our boat.  Went and talked to the harbor master... he told me there is no such thing... I do not need any permits.  Can you believe it?  They are always so busy to fuck with people who are alive in CA.  Fucking bolshevick, communist state.  What a joke, where do all these assholes come from?

summer is here

The roughest crossing in my opinion.... I got so tired just by trying to keep the boat in a straight line.  Than when we were at the island everything became ideal.  Sabra got sick on the way over but she recovered the next day.  The island was very sleepy but next door at Howland's it was kind of busy.  I mean every mooring was taken...

finally the swim step is seeing some saltwater...4 years later

Every time she gets hauled out I am ready to have a heart attack... but Nicholas, God Bless you for putting that  new bottom on the boat in 68.  Much of my markings (after the blueprint haul out diagram) can not be used because the spread on the lift is to narrow.  They do know the boat however and I have been very lucky.  Still it is something else when they make you sign this paperwork about what if the boat breaks in half.  Basically they are not responsible. Swim Step was built four years ago,  I am so glad that we were able to put it on... got a new transducer and new upper system with GPS integration... new bottom paint (SEALIFE lasted 4 1/2 years ... not bad).

She looks good amongst all the other youngsters.... and one older gal with some major issues.

The step really looks better once she is on the water...

still cruising

The music was absolutely the most needed for the Bagarre.  She loved it.  Steven also made us be aware what is perfectly normal to have when entertaining people and going across the Pacific.
Let's see how Darl reacts to it.  I think I know.  Also 4th of July is way past and still nothing permanent. Decisions, decisions...  Amazing weekend,  made some hungarian food too!
